Construction Assistance

Having a structural engineer involved throughout construction is an important aspect of any project for the structural design intent to be achieved. The building surveyor also typically requires a structural engineer to provide a certificate of inspections in order for them to provide a certificate of occupancy for the project.

SCE Australia provides construction assistance in the form of routine structural inspections and inspection reporting at agreed staging points. This may include pre-pour reinforcement inspections, structural steel inspections prior to cladding installation or whatever the building surveyor may require to provide a certificate of occupancy. SCE can provide this service both on projects designed by SCE or projects designed by others. SCE is typically engaged by builders, clients or other engineering consultancy firms to undertake these services.

The construction assistance service provided by SCE can also include the reviewing of fabrication drawings and responding to requests for information as and when required.
